R1.5m Reward for Recovery of Stolen Items
Paul O’Sullivan & Associates, favoured with instructions from our client, have been authorised to offer, as we hereby do, a reward of up to R1,500,000 (One Million Five Hundred Thousand Rand) payable in cash, free of exchange in Johannesburg, for information leading to the recovery of the items described in this booklet. The reward is payable subject to the following conditions:
- The full reward is payable for the recovery of all the items.
- If one or more of the items are recovered, then the reward will be paid on a pro rated basis, based on the intrinsic value of the item/s so recovered.
- Information will be received in the strictest of confidence.
- Any person handing any such item/s in will not be arrested or subjected to criminal sanction by us and his identity will be kept secret at all times.

- The lid with shaped panel engraved with Chinese characters and chased with figures, the sides with figures and with engraved base, 19th Century

- Chased with a repeated vesica pattern in green and red gold, with diamond thumbpiece, by Carl Faberge with the mark of Augustus Hollming as workmaster

- Of oblong form, the cover set with a fire, opal within diamond and whole gold surround with white and yellow gold floral border, by Stuart Devlin

- Chased and engraved with scrolling foliage, the cover set with a removable miniature of Le Roi de Rome; on the reverse a miniature of Napoleon concealing another of Marie-Louise; the miniatures by Jean-Pierre Menuisier, the box by P.A. Marguerite, circa 1815

- At an altar, on diapered engine-turned ground in narrow foliage borders, with similar side and base, by Augustin-Andre Heguin, Paris 1786 with the poincon of Henri Clavel

- The lid, sides and base with oval panels chased with vase and sprays of flowers in var-coloured gold on engine-turned ground in narrow foliage borders, circa 1800, maker’s mark CSS with another mark CK in script monogram

- The borders to the lid and base chased with scrolling foliage in green tinted gold on matted ground, the side panels with plain mounts and moulded borders unmarked, circa 1810

- The lid with applied curved fluting in panels and sprays of laurel and set with diamond monogram of Franz Joseph with Imperial Crown with single stones at the corners, the bombe sides and base engraved with scrollwork and shells, Neuchatel, mid-19th century, maker’s marl CMWS

- With detachable lid, inset with enamel panels of peasant mothers and children and small still life scenes in bright-cut borders, the side with reeding and husks, Paris, 1761, with the poicons of Eloi Brichard, maker’s mark indistinct, perhaps RR

- The lid inset, with oval enamel panel of a lady and cupid on pink, ground with green and pink enamel panels to the sides and the base inlaid with gold flowers, with foliage borders in white and gold, by Charles Le Bastien, Paris, 1769 with the charge of Julien Alaterre and export decharge, enamel cracked

- Inset with grisaille enamel panels of classical nymphs and amorini in chased vine borders with marbled pink enamel corner panels and guilloche and shell borders and fluted pilasters at the angles to the sides, by Mathieu Coiny, Paris, 1765, with the poicons of J.J. Prevost, the bezel engraved No. 7

- Inset with enamel panels painted with domestic interiors and still life in the manner of Chardin, the borders to the lid and base chased with vari-coloured gold, the lid slide with running scrolls and the body with festooned pilasters, by Francois Guillaume Tiron, Paris, lid and sides 1761, base 1762, with the charges of Eloi Brichard and J.J. Prevost respectively

- Inset with oval grisaille panels of amorini on blue ground and small similar panels of vases, set in laurel wreaths and irregular corner panels within a border of shells, by Louis Roucel, 1764 with the poinςons of J.J. Prevost, with mark and signature on bezel

An important Russian gold oblong snuff-box
- The lid, mounted with a panel of mother-of-pearl and diamond set gold representing a group of figures before a colonnade on blue enamel ground, the sides and base with similar small group of mother-of-pearl figures, the narrow gold borders engraved with diaperwork and foliage, the lid with diamond thumbpiece, St Petersburg, circa 1760, maker’s mark N.H. perhaps for Andreas Nilsson Hall working at St Petersburg 1749-60. The panels probably imported Berlin work.
